Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's complexities and wished for a simple framework to guide your daily intentions? In this enlightening episode, I share the profound wisdom of the Reiki motto—five principles that offer a pathway to whole-person wellness through intentional daily living.

Diving into the teachings of Master Sensei Usui, considered the father of Reiki energy medicine, I explore each component of this powerful motto that begins with the transformative phrase "just for today." These five principles—releasing anger, letting go of worry, practicing gratitude, working with integrity, and showing kindness—provide a refreshing perspective on how we can approach each day with purpose and positive energy.

What makes this framework so powerful is its focus on the present moment. As I explain, each day offers us a fresh start, regardless of our past experiences. We are not victims of our circumstances but masters of our own destiny, with the inherent power to heal when we give our bodies, minds, and spirits what they need. The energy we cultivate through these intentions doesn't remain within us—it radiates outward, profoundly influencing our relationships, work environments, and every interaction we have.

I challenge you to consider which of these principles resonates most deeply with you today. When you use this framework to guide your actions and thoughts, you'll likely discover a new level of optimization and even magic in your life. Subscribe now to continue our journey toward whole-person wellness, and share your experience with these principles in the comments below!

Speaker 1:

So today I thought I'd share a little bit about our Reiki motto. So it looks like this, but this was created by Master Sensei Usui, who is considered to be the father of Reiki, which is energy medicine. Basically, it stems from Japan and the motto says just for today, I will not anger. Just for today, I will not worry. Just for today, I will be grateful for all my blessings. Just for today, I will work with honesty and integrity. Just for today, I will be kind to all living beings. Just for today, I will be kind to all living beings.

Speaker 1:

So what I love about this motto is this framework, is that it really helps us focus. Each day is a new beginning and we can choose how we show up each day. It doesn't matter what happened yesterday. It doesn't matter what happened yesterday, doesn't matter what happened in your childhood, doesn't matter what happened in your marriage or whatever. You choose today how you're going to show up, who you're going to be, who you're going to give right, and so we can choose for ourselves, how and who we're going to be and how we're going to show up. And there's great power in that, you see, we're going to be and how we're going to show up. And there's great power in that, you see, we're not victims. We are masters of our own destiny and we really do have power to heal when we give our bodies what they need. We were created to heal ourselves right. We also have the capacity to have a profound and positive influence or negative influence for that matter on others, and we so, as we purposefully decide on what we're going to bring to each day, we not only impact our own physical, emotional, spiritual wellbeing and health, but that obviously radiates outward. We bring that to our work, we bring that to our relationships, and that's a great thing.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to encourage you for today. Can you think about which of these, or all which of these principles are you going to try to bring forth into today? That, just for today, you won't anger. Just for today, you're not going to worry. You're going to move forward in faith. Just for today, you're going to be grateful for all your blessings, just for today. What if you worked with honesty and integrity and zeal? What would that bring to your future and the lives of others, and that you'll be kind to all living beings. When that's your framework, I guarantee you're going to have a great day and things are going to start to happen for you that are going to push your life into a new level of optimization and magic. I hope all good things for you today, friends Bye.
